LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR LESLIE RUTLEDGE ENDORSES FORMER LEGISLATOR AND ADJUTANT GENERAL MARK BERRY FOR ARKANSAS SENATE DISTRICT 26

Little Rock, AR - Lieutenant Governor and former Attorney General Leslie Rutledge formally endorsed General Mark Berry for the vacant Senate District 26 seat today. Senate District 26 was formally held by the late state Sen. Gary Stubblefield, and includes portions of Franklin, Johnson, Logan and Sebastian counties.
Lieutenant Governor Leslie Rutledge issued the following statement:
"I am proud to endorse my good friend, General Mark Berry, for Senate District 26! As a retired 3-Star General, former Adjutant General of Arkansas and former State Representative, General Mark Berry has incredible experience fighting for Americans' freedoms and fighting for Arkansas families. Arkansas needs General Mark Berry's proven conservative leadership back at the state capitol to protect our freedoms, our faith and our families."
Berry served in the House of Representatives from 2021-2025 and as the adjutant general of the Arkansas National Guard from 2015-2019. As adjutant general, he served as director of the state Department of the Military and later as the department's secretary. Mark retired in 2019 after serving more than 45 years in the military.
